Common questions
What does factorystream do?
FactoryStream is a factory ERP that carries one thread from a customer purchase order all the way to a delivered load. You set up your workspace and team, bring purchase orders in, check every line against your approved Rate Master, record production and quality checks, load and dispatch against vehicles and trips, and keep an audit trail of who did what. Open "What FactoryStream Does" for the full step-by-step walkthrough.
Upload a po?
Go to Manage POs and use Upload PO. Drop in the file you were sent - CSV, Excel, PDF or a photo - and FactoryStream reads it, works out which column holds the rate from the file's own headings, and shows you the result. Anything genuinely ambiguous is asked as a plain question rather than guessed. Nothing is written until you confirm.
Rate check?
Every PO line is priced against the approved rate for that exact scope - company, sub-brand, location, product, packing and the PO date - so a rate agreed later can never reprice an order already on the books. A line that differs from the agreement is flagged rather than quietly approved, and you can raise a revised-PO request from your own mailbox.
Rate master?
Rate Master is the single agreed price list. Rates are versioned and effective-dated: filing a new rate never overwrites the old one, so history stays intact and every PO is priced at the version in force on its own date. You can view any scope's full version history.
Cost sheet?
Cost Sheet intake reads a supplier or customer price sheet, expands the location columns and stages the result. The Resolution Center shows every row with its status and the one sentence explaining what is wrong, so you correct rows inline. Only the rows you approve are committed, as versioned Rate Master entries.
Production?
Daily Production records what was packed, validated against your company, sub-brand and item masters. Entries land as QC Pending and route to a quality check, where an inspector passes, holds or rejects with the outcome recorded. Held batches can be corrected and resubmitted.
Vehicle?
Vehicles holds your vehicle master and trips. You open a loading session and scan items against it; once every attached PO on a trip is fully loaded the trip becomes Ready to Dispatch on its own. Drivers get a tokenised tracking link with nothing to install, and delivery is confirmed against the trip.
History?
Dispatch History lists every vehicle load on the stock ledger - dispatched, short or cancelled - with its PO, batches, quantities, what came back and the goods receipt due. Search by vehicle, PO or load number, filter by date, and export it (Export > Dispatch history). The old scan-to-load records from before the stock ledger stay read-only under Vehicles.
